Very popular design by Malö Yachts, one of the leading yachtbuilders in Sweden. With her centre cockpit and seperate aftcabin, she provided lots of extra space and possibillities for family and friends. Very sturdy built (Scandinavian craftsmanship!) and safe, she is a very reliable and safe cruisingyacht with ample stowagespace for equipment/fuel/water/etc. That makes her ideal for long distance offshore cruising or leisure sailing. Warm mahogany interior with ample headroom throughout. Lots of equipment renewed.

GRP sailingyacht Malö 50 Ketch "Arcadia", built in 1981 by Malö Olsoners Batbyggen AB Sweden, dim.: 11.10 (lwl 9.00) x 3.35 x 1.35 mtr (length incl. bowsprit 12.50 mtr), built to Lloyds specifications, headway: 14 mtr, design by Ohlsen/Batbyggen, grp hull, deck and superstructure, teak deck (needs attention), hardened glass in aluminium framing, moderate s-bilged hull, rudder in skeg, displacement: 7,2 tonnes, ballast: 3,2 tonnes, fueltank: 200 ltrs, freshwatertank: 300 ltrs, RMC mechanical wheelsteering (new Stazo steeringwheel), emergency tiller.
Classic mahogany interior, 2 cabins and saloon, 4(+3) berths, dinette (can be converted into double berth), headroom: 1.95 mtr, 1 x u.w.toilet and shower, Eberspacher D4L diesel hot air ducted heating, galley: electric waterpressure system, boyler hot water system (220v/engine 2004), three burner gasstove with oven (s.s. 2001), Frigomatic Madrid35 100ltr. fridge (2001).
Volvo Penta MD17C 36 hp (26kW) diesel, installed in 1981, approx. 2100 runninghours, complete overhaul in 2000, indirect coolingsystem, Volvo Penta Saildrive (seal renewed in 2000), three bladed fixed propeller (+spare), cruisingspeed approx. 7 kn, consumption approx. 3,5 ltr/hr, 1 x manual bilgepump, 2 x 88amp + 1 x 72amp batteries, 12-220v electrical system, TBC automatic 25amp batterycharger.

Fixed windscreen with sprayhood and full cockpitcover, wintercover, sunawning, lifebuoy, electric windlass, Bruce anchor with 25mtr line/chain, boardingladder, radar reflector, deckwash, windscreen wiper, fenders, warps, spare parts, clock, barometer, cockpit cushions, cockpit table, fire extinguisher, outboard support, etc.
Ketch-cutter-rigged, Selden aluminium stoway mast (new installed apporx. 1995), Selden aluminium mizzen mast, s.s. standing rigging, Profurl headsail furling (2000), inner removable cutter-stay, 5 sails: furling main (approx. 1995) / furling genoa (2000) / cutter-staysail / stormjib / booster with squeezer, cover for mizzen (2000), mechanical boomvang, 2 x 46CST Anderssen sheetwinches, 1 x 16CST Anderssen sheetwinch, 2 x 16C halyardwinches, "granny-bars" at main mast. Stowaymain operated from cockpit with Harken reef winch.
