Which yacht would you like to charter? 
Choosing the right yacht is the first step to creating your perfect charter experience. Here are the two main types to consider: 

• Motor yachts
  Fast, luxurious, and spacious – ideal for covering long distances in style. 
• Sailing yachts 
  A more relaxed, adventurous vibe. Slower-paced, but just as luxurious – perfect for sailing lovers. 

Pick the one that fits your mood and style of travel. 

The charter experience: what to consider 
Once you’ve chosen your yacht type, think about these key details: 

• Number of guests 
  How many people will be joining you? 
• Destination 
  Where do you want to go? The Med, the Caribbean, or Asia perhaps? 
• Dates & duration 
  When do you want to charter, and for how long? 
• Budget 
  What’s your overall budget for the trip? 

Our charter experts will ask all the right questions to fully understand your wishes. That way, we’ll match you with the perfect yacht, crew, and itinerary for your dream journey. 

What’s included in the charter fee? 
The charter price includes the use of the yacht, the full crew, onboard equipment, and insurance. Fuel, mooring fees, provisioning, and extras are billed separately. 

We ask for an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) of 25–30% of the charter fee. This is paid in advance to the captain to cover these additional costs. You’ll receive a detailed expense overview during or after the charter. Any unused funds will be refunded; any shortfalls will be billed. 

Payment & terms 

• Payments 
  50% of the charter fee is due upon signing the contract. The balance + APA is due one month before departure. 
• VAT 
  Most charter yachts are commercially registered and VAT exempt. However, VAT may apply based on the yacht’s registration and cruising area. 
• Insurance 
  Many yachts are well insured, but we recommend arranging additional health and cancellation insurance for your peace of mind. 
• Crew gratuities 
  Crew work long hours to make your charter unforgettable. While entirely optional, a gratuity of around 10% of the charter fee is customary.
