This Contest 30 built as strong cruiser/racer in the seventies, still represent the quality that stands for the famous Conyplex yard. She offers well balanced sailing against comfortable cruising. The large amount of accessable lockerspaces combined with comfortable sea movement makes a long stay on board a joy.

General
GRP sailing yacht, "Seraphin", type Contest 30 B, dim.: 9,00 (lwl 7,60) x 3,14 x 1,72 m, built in 1976 by Conyplex in Holland, designed by Dick Zaal, displacement approx. 3952 kg, ballast approx. 1520 kg in a deep vin keel from cast iron, white round-bilged hull with blue striping and a red underwatership, full skeg rudder, GRP deck and superstructure, 3 Goyot opening deckhatches o.w. one with a ventilator, teak in the cockpit removable from the seats and an opening floorboard for easy access to the engine, fueltank capacity approx 80 liter, watertank capacity approx 150 liter, Whitlock pedestal steering, emergency tiller.

Classic mahogany interior, 1 cabin, 5 berths, a double berth in the forepeak with GRP integrated storage underneath and a deckhatch above, access door to the passageway that doubles as closing door for the foreward toilet, with to starboard a double locker and to port ahead with manual RM toilet and a slide away washbassin, footpump for fresh water, access to the main saloon with both to port and to starboard many lockers and a window in the side of the hull, port a L-sofa and starboard a sofa, starboard aft of the sofa the foreward charttable and the quarter bed under the cockpit, to port the aft facing galley with single sink, small water heater, footpump, 2-burner gasstove and an icebox (no compressor) a Webasto hot air heater and in the centre, next to the engine, a wet locker.

Volvo Penta MD 2B, 18 hp diesel engine (recent check up at technical shipyard Gebr. van Enkhuizen in Makkum), mechanical gearbox, 3-bladed fixed propeller, direct cooling system, 12 Volt shipssystem, 1 x 12 Volt 55 Ah start battery, 1 x 88 Ah service battery, batterywach, rpm and temperature meters for engine in the cockpit, shorepower with cable and earthbreaker, manual bilgepump in the cockpit, electrical bilgepump with auto switch.

Magnetic pedestal compass (needs service), VDO Sumlog (defect), Navico log, Navico depth, Plastimo windset, Locata navtex, Sattelit 3400 receiver, Autohelm 3000 autopilot (defect), Renaud combi antenne, Imtech Marine VHF (no Atis), connections and cables for a car radio, 2 Sony speakers for possible stereo.

Danforth anchor, searailing, liferaft (needs service) in a container stored on the transom, bording ladder, 3 lockers in the cockpit, white sprayhood with cockpitcover, cockpitcushiopns, upholstery recently renewed.

Sloop-rigged aluminium deck-stepped mast, masthight above the waterline approx. 12,50 m, 2 decklights on the spreaders, 2 Enkes 8 single speed halyard winches on the mast, 2 x Enkes 22 primery sheet winches, furling headsailsystem, traditional mainsail (approx 15,8 m2), furling genoa (approx 23,60 m2), spiboom stored against the mast, sailcover.
