General
Nicholson 38 ketch ''Caol Rona'', built in 1973 by Halmatic Yard, England, dim.: 11.53 (lwl 8.40) x 3.20 x 1.58 m, design by Camper & Nicholson, grp hull (needed to be treated against osmosis) and superstructure, teak deck (must be checked), s-bilged hull, displacement: 8 tons, ballast: 3 tons, fueltank: 173 ltrs, freshwater tank: 340 ltrs. mechanical wheelsteering, emergency tiller.

Classic teak interior, 2 cabins and saloon, 4(+2) berths, 2 x Lavac u.w. toilet, shower, hot watersystem by geyser, electric waterpressure system, galley, fridge, 2 burner gasstove, oven and grill.

Perkins 38 hp (28kW) diesel, mechanical gearbox, indirect cooling system, consumption approx. 3 ltrs/hr, speed approx. 6 knots, threebladed fixed propeller, s.s. propeller shaft, extinguishers (need to be checked), gasdetector (needs to be checked), 12/220V elec. circuit, 2 x 120amp. batteries (1997), windgenerator, shore power, Victron battery charger and inverter.

Sestrel compass, Autohelm ST50 echo, log and windset, Shipmate VHF (Atis), Autohelm 3000 autopilot, Autohelm ST50 GPS, Sailor radio.

Fixed hardtop, cockpit cover, tender, davits, life buoys, safety lines (on deck), manual anchor winch, Danforth and CQR anchor incl. chain and line, boarding ladder, fenders, spare parts, clock, barometer, radar reflector, cockpit cushions.

Ketch-rigged, alum. mast, s.s. standing rigging, s.s. deck fittings, 10 sails: Van Vliet mainsail ('96), genoa I, genoa II (Van Vliet ' 96), genoa III, storm jib, mizzen (Van Vliet '96) and staysail, spinaker, booster, slabreefing system, mech. boomvang, 2 x Lewmar sheetwinches, 3 x Lewmar halyard winches.
